About This Simulator
Flight Simulator Athens — Airbus A320 & F-16 Falcon at The Pilot Center, Ilioupoli
The Pilot Center delivers Greece’s premier public flight simulation hub, successfully bridging high-fidelity aviation training with high-stakes recreational entertainment. Located on the prominent Vouliagmenis Avenue in the southeastern Athens suburb of Agios Dimitrios, this modern center brings commercial and military aviation straight to the public door. Staffed completely by experienced commercial pilots and simulation flight advisors, the venue is meticulously optimized to welcome absolute beginners, teenagers, families seeking an adrenaline-filled weekend highlight, and virtual desktop flyers.
The Dual-Aircraft Simulator Fleet Rather than focusing strictly on commercial airliners, The Pilot Center allows visitors to experience two entirely contrasting domains of flight:
-
The Airbus A320 Airliner Simulator (From 75€): An exact 1:1 scale replica of the world’s most successful fly-by-wire jetliner cockpit. The flight deck completely abandons basic gaming yokes for authentic hardware components, featuring fully functional pilot seats, a complex overhead systems management panel, and the iconic electronic side-stick control system. Enclosed by a 5-meter-wide panoramic projection screen, captains can select from a global database mapping over 24,000 airports.
-
The F-16 Falcon Fighter Jet Simulator (From 65€): For the first time in Greece, the general public can climb inside a true-to-scale reproduction of an F-16 Block 52 tactical cockpit. Equipped with a responsive HOTAS (Hands-On Throttle-And-Stick) setup, pilots can handle supersonic Mach speeds, practice high-G aerial combat loops, perform extreme barrel rolls, and execute low-altitude terrain maneuvers.
Both cockpits use highly advanced audiovisual processing to generate extreme immersion. Under your co-pilot instructor’s 1-on-1 direction, sessions scale precisely to your comfort zone. First-timers can practice basic runway tracking and steady manual landings at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH), while experienced flyers can configure severe winter crosswinds, system failures, or target tracking drills.
Shared Packages and Anti-Aerophobia Programs The center features an incredible “Family Pack” system starting from 120€, allowing participants to mix and match individual 30 to 40-minute blocks between the A320 airliner, the F-16 jet, or their on-site full-motion Formula 1 and drifting WRC rally car rigs. Every booking covers individual cockpit use while allowing up to three non-flying friends or family members to enter the bay for free to take photos and videos of your session.
Leveraging the realistic cockpit environment of the A320, The Pilot Center also hosts specialized, individual Fear of Flight (Anti-aerophobia) courses. Guided by certified aviation professionals, these therapeutic modules help anxious local travelers safely deconstruct cockpit audio cues, demystify air turbulence, and understand how modern aircraft backup structures function to permanently conquer their flight anxiety.
Plan Your Visit The Pilot Center functions strictly on an advance appointment protocol, which can be locked in via their digital registration form or call desk. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Sundays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. To ensure equipment access and reachability, a minimum height requirement of 1.40 meters is recommended for all simulation systems. Located at 295 Vouliagmenis Avenue, Agios Dimitrios 17236, the storefront features great visibility and is highly accessible via local Athens transit routes. On location vehicle parking is available.
