Hamburg's only Full Motion A320 simulator — a real cockpit on a 5-ton motion platform at Mercedes-Benz Centre Niendorf.

About This Simulator
Flight Simulator Hamburg — Full Motion Airbus A320 at Mercedes-Benz Niendorf
The flight simulator Hamburg experience at Flugsimulator.com is the only place in the city where you can fly a genuine Airbus A320 original cockpit mounted on a full motion platform — and feel every moment of the flight from takeoff to touchdown. Located at the Mercedes-Benz Centre Niendorf in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Hamburg, this is one of just two full motion original cockpit simulators in Germany operated by Flugsimulator.com, alongside their Berlin location.
This is not a replica cockpit or a gaming setup. The simulator is built around the original cockpit of an Airbus A319 that flew for Deer Air and Capital Airlines in China until 2018. After decommissioning, the cockpit was transformed into a full-specification flight simulator, retaining every original instrument, control, and system from the real aircraft.
Feel Every Movement — 6 Degrees of Freedom
What sets the Hamburg flight simulator apart from fixed-base simulators is the 5-ton full motion platform it sits on. With 6 degrees of freedom, the system replicates every sensation of real flight — the push of takeoff acceleration, the banking of a turn, the bump of turbulence, and the thud of touchdown. You don’t just see the flight. You feel it in your seat, your hands, and your feet on the rudder pedals.
Combined with a 180° projection dome, the visual immersion is complete. Thousands of airports worldwide are available, from routine European city pairs to technically challenging approaches at destinations like Madeira, Innsbruck, or Hong Kong’s legendary former Kai Tak airport.
A Real Cockpit With Real History
The Hamburg simulator cockpit originated from an Airbus A319 that operated commercial flights across China under Deer Air and later Capital Airlines until retirement in 2018. Every instrument you touch, every switch you flip, and every lever you push was used by real airline crews on real flights. That provenance is impossible to replicate in any purpose-built simulator and is central to what makes this experience genuinely unique.
Session Options
All sessions include a full pre-flight briefing and post-flight debriefing led by a professional instructor. Each booking covers two cockpit seats, so you can bring a co-pilot, partner, or friend along for the flight.
Sessions are available in 30, 60, and 90-minute flight time options, with weekday discounts available. Optional extras include a personal flight video recording and leadership and decision-making training modules — popular choices for corporate groups and team events.
No Experience Needed
Professional instructors guide every session from briefing through to debriefing, ensuring participants of all levels can confidently operate the aircraft from the moment they take their seat. Minimum age is 12 years with adult supervision (10 years without motion), or 16 years unaccompanied.
