Flightbase Bern operates an Airbus A320 simulator at Bruyère 40 in Münchenwiler — a quiet village in the canton of Bern, just southwest of the Swiss capital. Built and operated by instructor Urs, who personally constructed the simulator and put exceptional care into the sound design in particular, this is one of the most personal and passionate flight simulator experiences in the Bern region. Sessions are open to anyone aged 12 and above with no prior experience required, and reviews from 2025 and 2026 consistently describe the experience as brilliant, informative, and deeply memorable.

A reviewer from April 2026 noted that the instructor programmed a special custom flight route specifically for them — a level of personal attention that reflects the boutique, owner-operated character of this venue. The Airbus A320 Simulator

The simulator at Flightbase Bern is a 1:1 replica of the real Airbus A320 cockpit — the same aircraft type used by Swiss, easyJet, and other carriers on routes through Bern Airport and Zurich Airport. All instruments, switches, and controls replicate the original aircraft. You choose your departure and destination airports from a wide selection worldwide — Zurich, New York, Innsbruck, and countless others — and set your own weather conditions. On request, from sessions of 2 hours and above, a full cross-country flight using real airline procedures can be flown, including SIDs, STARs, and instrument approaches.

The briefing runs approximately 30 minutes and does not count toward flight time. Up to two spectators can join without prior booking.

Session Options

60 minutes — CHF 198. The core experience covering briefing, takeoff, cruise, and landing at the destination of your choice.

90 minutes — CHF 284. Extended session with time for two different airports and weather conditions.

120 minutes — CHF 377. Includes the option of a full cross-country flight with real airline procedures on request.

180 minutes — CHF 555. The most comprehensive single session, covering real gate-to-gate procedures, multiple approaches, and full system exploration.
