About This Simulator
Flight Simulator Zurich — Boeing 777 at Fly & Race Simulations, Josefstrasse
Fly & Race Simulations operates one of Zurich’s most highly rated flight simulator experiences — a full-scale Boeing 777 cockpit simulator located at Josefstrasse 53, just a one-minute walk from the nearest tram stop and five minutes on foot from Zurich HB, Switzerland’s busiest railway hub. With a 96% recommendation rate on Tripadvisor and glowing reviews from aviation enthusiasts, families, and professional pilots alike, this is consistently described as one of the most memorable and professionally run simulator experiences in the city.
The Boeing 777 is Swiss International Air Lines’ new long-haul flagship — the aircraft that carries Swiss passengers to New York, Singapore, Bangkok, and beyond from Zurich Airport. At Fly & Race Simulations, that same aircraft type becomes yours to captain, in a cockpit used as an official Flight Simulation Training Device for real line pilot training worldwide.
The Boeing 777 Simulator
The simulator is a true-to-life replica of a real Boeing 777 cockpit — not a simplified entertainment product but a device used globally for official flight crew training. The curved 220° panoramic screen wraps the cockpit in photorealistic scenery, delivering an absolutely genuine sense of flight from the first moment of engine start. Jet engine sounds, runway vibration, and the physical sensation of an aircraft that weighs over 300 tonnes accelerating to rotate speed are all faithfully reproduced.
Your instructor is an experienced line pilot, captain, or flight instructor — a professional with real-world airline experience who guides every session from the initial briefing through to landing and shutdown. The briefing does not count toward your flight time. Up to three spectators can join you in the cockpit at no extra charge, with a maximum of four participants total. An Electronic Flight Bag with current approach charts and navigation information is available throughout.
Reviewers consistently praise instructor Roger Wey by name — describing detailed and engaging briefings, expert guidance, and a genuine passion for aviation that makes the experience educational as well as thrilling. One reviewer described it as “the best gift ever,” flying a 90-minute session that included the famous Hong Kong Kai Tak approach at day, night, and in fog, followed by a departure from Zurich over the Alps.

The Kai Tak Challenge
One of the most popular session choices at Fly & Race Simulations is the approach into Hong Kong’s former Kai Tak International Airport — a legendary curved approach over the densely populated Kowloon peninsula, with no ILS and a visual turn to line up with the runway just before touchdown. Retired in 1998, the Kai Tak approach remains one of the most technically demanding and visually spectacular in aviation history, and flying it day, night, and in fog in the Boeing 777 is an experience that multiple reviewers describe as genuinely unforgettable.
Combined Flight & Formula 1 Simulator Events
Fly & Race Simulations also operates a professional Formula 1 racing simulator at the same Josefstrasse location, which can be combined with the Boeing 777 flight simulator for team events, corporate outings, and group celebrations. The combination of aviation and motorsport simulation under one roof is unique in Zurich and makes for a compelling half-day or full-day group event format.
