About This Simulator
Flight Simulator Montreal — Boeing 737-800 & Airbus A320 at AviaSim, Marriott Montreal Airport
AviaSim Montreal is the city’s only dedicated flight simulator centre — and one of just a handful of AviaSim locations across Canada to offer two different simulator types under one roof. Located inside the Marriott Montreal Airport hotel in Dorval, just minutes from Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, the centre operates both a Boeing 737-800 and an Airbus A320 simulator, giving participants the rare choice between Boeing’s conventional yoke cockpit and Airbus’s fly-by-wire sidestick — two completely different flying philosophies in the same visit.
Part of AviaSim Canada’s eight-city network — Canada’s leading leisure flight simulation operator with 15 years of expertise and a 4.7/5 star rating from thousands of customers — the Montreal centre is open to all ages with no prior experience required. Every session is led by a qualified instructor who guides you from pre-flight briefing through to landing. Up to three guests can join you in the back of the simulator as observers at no extra charge.
Boeing 737-800 Simulator
The Boeing 737-800 is the aircraft that Air Canada, Air Transat, and Sunwing operate on routes from Montreal-Trudeau every day — the conventional yoke-and-column cockpit familiar from decades of commercial aviation. The AviaSim 737 replicates this cockpit faithfully, with all primary instruments and systems operational and a 180° HD visual system delivering photorealistic views from 24,000 airports worldwide. Flying a departure from YUL over the St. Lawrence River and the islands of the Montreal archipelago is a naturally local and visually compelling route choice. Simulator selection is not guaranteed at booking — if you have a strong preference for the 737, contact customer service in advance.
Airbus A320 Simulator
The Airbus A320 is the aircraft of choice for Air France, Corsair, and multiple European carriers on transatlantic services into Montreal-Trudeau — and one of the world’s most widely operated commercial aircraft. The A320 fly-by-wire sidestick offers a completely different feel from the Boeing yoke: lighter, more intuitive for many beginners, and instantly recognisable as the aircraft that defined modern Airbus design since 1988. Participants who have already flown the 737 elsewhere often specifically request the A320 at Montreal for the contrast.

Fear of Flying
AviaSim Montreal’s flight simulator experience has been consistently praised for its therapeutic value by participants with flight anxiety. Multiple reviewers describe understanding the flight experience far better after a session — the sounds, the sensations, and the phases of flight that trigger anxiety in the cabin all become comprehensible from the captain’s seat. If overcoming flight anxiety is your primary goal, contact AviaSim’s customer service team in advance to discuss how best to structure your session.
Getting There
The simulator is located on the first floor of the Marriott Montreal Airport hotel, accessible via stairs. By public transport, bus 112 stops directly at the hotel — the most convenient option for visitors from central Montreal. By car, the hotel is directly accessible from Highway 20 at the Dorval interchange, but note that hotel parking carries a significant fee. Taking an Uber or the 112 bus is strongly recommended over driving.
