Flight Simulator Toulouse — A320, Boeing 737, F-35 & Mirage 2000 at AviaSim, Beauzelle

There is no more fitting city on earth to fly a flight simulator than Toulouse. This is where Airbus designs, assembles, and delivers every A320, A330, A350, and A380 that takes off from European airports. The test flights of new aircraft trace paths over the Occitanie countryside that residents of Toulouse can watch from their gardens. Tens of thousands of engineers, test pilots, mechanics, and aerospace professionals live and work here. Aviation is not an industry in Toulouse — it is the city’s identity.

Into that context, AviaSim Toulouse places the most comprehensive public flight simulator centre in France. Located in Beauzelle, just northwest of the city, the centre is equipped with seven simulators: three Airbus A320 cockpits, one Boeing 737-800, two F-35 Lightning II fighter jets, and — uniquely in the entire AviaSim France network — a Mirage 2000 combat aircraft simulator. Nowhere else in France can you fly the A320 and the Mirage 2000 in the same afternoon. No other AviaSim centre comes close to this breadth.

Airbus A320 Simulators — Three Cockpits

With three A320 simulators available simultaneously, AviaSim Toulouse is able to accommodate larger groups, corporate events, and families wanting to fly alongside each other in identical cockpits. The A320 is of course Toulouse’s own aircraft — designed and built here, and operated by virtually every airline flying into Toulouse-Blagnac Airport daily. The cockpit is an authentic 1:1 scale replica, with fly-by-wire sidestick controls, ECAM displays, throttle quadrant, and autopilot all operational. A 180° photorealistic HD visual system covers 24,000 airports worldwide — flying a departure from LFBO itself, over the Garonne and the Canal du Midi, is a natural first choice in this city.

Boeing 737-800 Simulator

The Boeing 737-800 provides the complementary experience to the Airbus — a conventional yoke-and-column cockpit from the world’s best-selling commercial aircraft family. For participants who have already flown the A320 elsewhere and want to experience the different cockpit philosophy of Boeing, or for those who simply prefer the classic yoke-based flight deck, the 737-800 at AviaSim Toulouse delivers a fully authentic experience guided throughout by a professional instructor.

Two F-35 Lightning II Fighter Jet Simulators

The F-35 Lightning II is the world’s most advanced stealth combat aircraft, and AviaSim Toulouse operates two of them — matching only AviaSim Lyon in the network. With two F-35s running simultaneously, groups can fly in parallel, and competitive head-to-head sessions become possible. High-G manoeuvres, supersonic runs, carrier operations, air combat, ground attack, and tactical missions are all available — sensations completely impossible in any commercial cockpit.

Mirage 2000 — Unique in France

The Mirage 2000 is the aircraft that defines French military aviation — a fourth-generation delta-wing multirole fighter that has served the Armée de l’Air since 1984 and continues in active French service today. AviaSim Toulouse is the only centre in France with a Mirage 2000 simulator open to the public, making it a genuine pilgrimage destination for French aviation enthusiasts and military aviation fans from across Europe.

The Mirage 2000 cockpit is entirely different in character from the F-35 — older technology, more raw, less computerised, more purely aerodynamic. Flying the Mirage requires more stick-and-rudder skill and less fly-by-wire assistance, making it a particularly rewarding experience for those who want to understand French military aviation heritage from the inside. It is available as a standalone session or combined with the A320 and F-35 in extended multi-aircraft packages.

Session Options

Standard packages on the A320 and Boeing 737: Découverte Avion de Ligne (45 minutes, €109), Forfait Duo (60 minutes for two pilots, €169), and Forfait Évasion (80 minutes, €199). The Pack Full Experience combines airliner and fighter jet time in a single visit. Extended multi-simulator packages are available for groups. All sessions include a professional pilot instructor, up to three rear-seat guests at no extra cost, and are available as gift vouchers with 12-month validity.

The Toulouse Aviation Audience

AviaSim Toulouse draws participants from across Occitanie, but also from Spain and Andorra — the Pyrenean border population for whom Toulouse is the nearest major French city. For Airbus employees, engineers, and aviation professionals living in the Toulouse agglomeration, flying the simulator of the aircraft they design or maintain every day carries a dimension that no other AviaSim centre can replicate.

Fear of Flying Programme

The Stage Peur en Avion at AviaSim Toulouse has a particular resonance in the world’s aviation capital. Understanding that the aircraft you board was designed, tested, and certified by the people who live in your city — and experiencing that aircraft’s procedures from the cockpit — is a uniquely powerful way to address flight anxiety. The 6-hour individual programme with a 97% success rate is bookable by phone or contact form.

Corporate and Team Building

AviaSim Toulouse has a dedicated meeting room and seminar facilities, and the seven-simulator configuration makes it the most capable corporate group venue in the entire AviaSim network. Groups of up to 20 or more can rotate through multiple simulators simultaneously, with the DR300 light aircraft simulator also available for corporate-exclusive events. For Toulouse-based aerospace companies, this is the most natural team building venue imaginable.
