The simulator is operated by an instructor with more than 20 years of experience as a commercial pilot, who guides every mission from briefing to debrief. The experience is open to anyone aged 12 and above with no prior piloting experience required.

The F-16 Simulator

The simulator features one of the most authentic and complete F-16 cockpits in civilian hands, with three Full-HD projectors and a 270-degree screen system. The 270° wrap-around visual system is one of the widest fields of view available in any public F-16 simulator in Europe, creating a level of spatial immersion that genuinely replicates the fighter pilot’s visual environment. The cockpit itself has been developed over two decades to replicate the Danish F-16 MLU Block-15 — including avionics, weapons systems, flight controls, and cockpit layout — with virtually all systems functional.

Aalborg Airport sits adjacent to Flyvestation Aalborg, one of Denmark’s primary Royal Danish Air Force bases and home to F-16 operations for decades. Your Mission

After a personal briefing with your instructor, you climb into the cockpit and prepare for your mission. The mission typically consists of takeoff, various manoeuvres in the air, bombing of ground targets, air combat, and a safe landing. During the flight, your instructor sits right behind you, constantly helping and explaining what to do.

The full range of F-16 capabilities is available — high-G turns, supersonic flight, aerobatic manoeuvres, air-to-ground weapons delivery, and air-to-air combat. Mission content can be adapted to the participant’s level and interests. The session concludes with a debriefing and a drink while your pulse returns to normal.
