Flight Simulator Las Vegas — Boeing 737-800 Full Motion at Las Vegas Flight Academy, Henderson

Las Vegas Flight Academy offers what is arguably the most serious and authentic Boeing 737 flight simulator experience available to the public anywhere in the Las Vegas area. Located in Henderson — just minutes from the Strip — the Academy is an FAA Part 142 Certified Training Center operating the same full-motion Boeing 737-800 simulator used daily for professional airline pilot training, type ratings, and ATP-CTP courses. When you sit in the captain’s seat here, you are in exactly the same environment that real airline crews use to qualify for and maintain their commercial licences.

The Airline Pilot Experience is a 3-hour premium session designed for two participants — aviation enthusiasts, frequent flyers, gift recipients, and bucket-list chasers — who want the most realistic possible simulator experience without needing a pilot licence, medical certificate, or any prior flight experience whatsoever.

The Boeing 737-800 Full Motion Simulator

The simulator at Las Vegas Flight Academy is a high-fidelity full-motion Boeing 737-800 device — the same type used by airlines worldwide for initial type ratings and recurrent training. The full-motion platform moves with you through every phase of flight: feel the pitch of the nose rotating at V1, the bank of steep turns, the shudder of a stall, and the touchdown of an ATC-directed ILS landing. This is not a fixed-base recreation — it is the real training environment used by commercial pilots.

The glass cockpit replicates the Boeing 737-800 NG flight deck in complete detail, including the autothrottle, flight management system, MCP, EFIS displays, and all primary and secondary systems. Every manoeuvre you fly is performed in the same environment and on the same equipment that airline crews use for their annual checks.

Your 3-Hour Session

The session begins with a focused ground school briefing covering jet engine operation, cockpit familiarisation, and the basics of flying a jet transport aircraft. From there, both pilots enter the simulator together — one in the captain’s seat, one as first officer — for approximately 2.5 hours of full-motion simulator time.

The flight profile covers taxi and departure briefing, takeoff, climb and cruise, autoflight and FMS work, steep turns, stall recognition, a dual-autopilot ILS approach, and an ATC-directed ILS landing. Seats are swapped during the session so both participants fly as captain. The session concludes with a private debrief reviewing the highlights and performance of the flight.

Popular route choices include a sunset departure from LAX, a rain approach into JFK, or a challenging short-field arrival at a mountain airport. The instructor configures the environment to whatever scenario you want to experience.

Who Is This For?

The Airline Pilot Experience is designed for anyone who wants the genuine article — not a simplified leisure simulator, but the real training device. Aviation enthusiasts who want to understand what airline pilots actually do, frequent flyers who have always wondered what happens at the front of the aircraft, partners or friends flying together as a shared experience, and anyone wanting to give or receive an unforgettable and genuinely meaningful aviation gift.

At $2,995 for two pilots for three hours, this is a premium experience. It is priced accordingly because the simulator, the facility, and the instruction are the real thing — not a scaled-down leisure product.

FAA Part 142 Certified Facility

Las Vegas Flight Academy holds FAA Part 142 certification — the regulatory standard for approved aviation training centres in the United States. This means the facility, its simulators, its instructors, and its training programmes all meet FAA standards for airline pilot training. Note that the Airline Pilot Experience is a recreational product and simulator time cannot be logged toward FAA certificates or ratings.
