Boeing 737-800 Simulator

The simulator at Flight Mode Simulations is built around a high-quality Boeing 737-800 cockpit, with the wraparound 220° projection system producing a realistic panoramic exterior visual effect that creates a genuine sensation of movement and orientation. The cockpit quality is described by the venue as creating the sensation of being in the real aircraft, and the instructor station allows rapid configuration of any type of scenario — from normal point-to-point flights to full abnormal and emergency procedures.

The simulator is classified as an FBT (Fixed Base Trainer) and is climatised for comfort during sessions. Destinations with particularly detailed visual scenery include Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Funchal, Gibraltar, London, Amsterdam, New York, Miami, and many more worldwide.

Session Types

Flight Mode Simulations offers six distinct session formats to suit different needs:

Flight Experience is the core recreational package, with sessions starting from €75 for a 2-hour slot. Options include normal or abnormal local flights and point-to-point routes between airports, with the option to add a media package or a qualified Boeing 737-rated trainer.

Airline Prep is aimed at pilots preparing for airline assessments or those returning to flying after an extended break, with 2.5-hour Pro Slots and longer 5-hour and 10-hour professional packages available.

Fear of Flying sessions use the simulator as a therapeutic tool for passengers with flight anxiety, helping demystify the flying experience in a controlled and supportive environment. Sessions run to 3 hours.

Tailor Made Slots and Team Building packages are available for corporate groups and special events, with custom slot durations arranged on request.

Simulator Qualification is a 12-hour programme aimed at aviation enthusiasts who want a condensed, detailed course in operating the Boeing 737-800 simulator autonomously, covering all phases of flight from startup through to shutdown in a virtual environment.

No Experience Required
